ICON PAINTING COURSE IN MYTILINI, LESVOS, GREECE

If you missed any of Hanna’s previous Icon painting courses on the unspoiled Greek island of Lesvos, now’s your chance to experience an immersive nine-day course from 25th September to 4th October 2025.
Learn from Hanna Ward, a professional iconographer who has been teaching the art of icon painting for fifteen years at the King’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts and Southwark Cathedral in London. She has also taught residential courses in Worth Abbey, Surrey – Bethlehem, Palestine, Spain and in Finland.
The theme of this course is the exploration and the creation of a Mandylion icon using traditional Byzantine techniques, egg tempera, natural pigments and loose leaf gold.
High-quality icon boards, pigments, brushes and half-board accommodation (breakfast and lunch) are provided.
