A Message from the Editor

Dear Friends,

In this Easter season may we experience the joy and energy of the Resurrection in our lives and work – all to the glory of God.

We warmly welcome a new Patron,  His Eminence Archbishop Nikitas  of Thyateira & Great Britain.

Our Honorary Patron, Aidan Hart’s new book, ‘Festal Icons’ with 320 colour plates is publish. See for details of icons, books and courses.Ann-Braithwaite

Icons of Holy Week and Easter from the BAI online Exhibition – together with some thoughts from the ‘writers’ are included in this issue. This may give inspiration for you to plan such a Holy Week icon ready for next year.

I was studying an online Art History course and was delighted when ‘we went to’ an iconographer’s studio in Siena, where we saw Marco Caratelli at work. His studio is very near the Cathedral.

An online Lent course included a talk by Sr Madgelen Lawler, entitled ‘Well of Living Water’. She reflected on an image of Jesus with the woman at the well. For more information ……samaritan-woman/

I hope you find something of interest in the articles within this Review and that you may feel encouraged to contribute

Wishing you a blessed and creative Eastertide.
