Message from the Editor

Dear FriendsAnn_Braithwaite

How are you?  Have you started any new activities during ‘Lockdown’? There have been some Icon Workshops taking place via various technological means (p28). Do let me know of your innovations.Let us thank God for the gift of IT and the ‘freedom’ it can give when used well. We can ‘meet’ people from anywhere.

Pentecost Sunday and Trinity Sunday have recently taken place, so there is a Pentecost Icon(p7) and  some prayers to the Holy Trinity (p5).  Praying with our eyes is discussed (p17).

There is a puzzle to solve (p27).  Is this St Ivan? If you have a question, please send it to me. Within BAI someone will surely know the answer or know someone who might !

Ethiopian Manuscripts (p14) is a topic I was investigating as I am booked to go to Ethiopia late this year. Will that happen, I wonder?Perhaps some of you have been and have visited the rock churches and have seen the remarkable paintings.

Our Treasurer, Christopher Perrins, has been working hard. You can view the 2019 Accounts on p31. Our grateful thanks go to him.

It is with great joy that we welcome many new Members. I hope they will find encouragement, inspiration and hints in this and future Reviews. Perhaps some groups could invite new members as their location does not matter when using IT. I will pass on info.

With my prayers for you and your work that God may use it to bring His Light into the world.

Do please send your ideas and questions; your writing, photos, news about BAI Groups and Members or about your own interests, information about courses, websites, churches, books, music…..
