Professor Groen has agreed to give a talk on Praying with Icons. The emphasis of this talk will be on theology and liturgy rather than historical developments.
This talk is the initiative of the newly founded ‘Blessed Virgin Mary and St Dunstan studio of Christian Art’ at the Benedictine Institute, Ealing Abbey.
The aim of the studio is to support and encourage the development of artistic practice in the service of the Gospel.

Professor Dr Basilius Jacobus (Bert) Groen is from the University of Graz, the Catholic University of Leuven and the Pontifical Oriental Institute
Professor Groen specialises in the areas of liturgy and religious popular culture, East-West ecumenism & inter-religious dialogue southeast Europe.
